10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Two-Spot Lane
Meet at the intersection of MN Hwy 113 and Anchor Matson Road
Fall has settled in and we're just starting to see more frosty nights and mornings than not. The bears, chipmunks, raccoons and others continue to roam and build up stores of fat for the winter months soon to come. There's still lots of activity. Join us as we explore a new spot for our club far down Two Spot Lane, the minimum-maintenance sand road that leads out of the west side of Itasca State Park that is closed to vehicle traffic for much of the year.
We will meet at the intersection of MN Hwy 113 and Anchor Matson Road at 10 AM and carpool into the sand roads from there. Please park vehicles on the shoulder of Anchor Matson Road rather than the highway, there will be less traffic and more space there. Do not intend to bring anything but a 4x4 vehicle with significant ground clearance. Coordinate with Robert (info below) so we know how many vehicles we need for carpooling. We will have at least 5 seats in his Jeep.

If you need to reach us the day of the outing, please call Robert's cell at 612-708-4754. Note that cell reception can be spotty.
