October Tracking Club: Autumn at the Dunes

Sunday, October 18th

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Grey Cloud Dunes Scientific and Natural Area (SNA) - South Entrance

7674-7600 110th St S, Cottage Grove, MN 55016

Fall is officially here! Join the Minnesota Wildlife Tracking Project at Grey Cloud Dunes to investigate how animals handle this transitionary season and what they're up to in preparation for winter. From busy chipmunks storing acorns to migrating birds gorging on grain, creatures have methods of survival as diverse and unique as themselves. This is a great time of year to connect the dots between animal behavior and the tracks and sign they leave on the landscape.

Please come prepared for the weather—this event will take place rain or shine!

We will gather at 9 AM in the southern parking lot. After a short introduction, we will split into smaller groups and head into the field. We'll return to the parking lot before wrapping up around 12 PM. You are invited to stick around until 1 PM to continue to explore animal activity in the area.

If you need to reach us the day of the outing, please call Maria's cell at 612-440-5958.
