Sunday, July 19
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Thomas C. Savage Visitor Center
Fort Snelling State Trail, St Paul, MN 55111
Our June Practice Assessment featured a whole lot of young of the year: from little otters following their parents under the pylons, to tiny skunk tracks alongside with their parent's spoor, to ducklings following their mallard mama. Let's see how those babes in the mud are faring -- led by your very own babes who own the mud in the Minnesota Wildlife Tracking Project.
Do bring your muck boots! We will explore the mud flats and shores to find evidence of our resident critters. Please come prepared for the weather, and wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty.
We will gather at 9 AM in the parking lot by the Visitor Center. After a short introduction, we will split into smaller groups and head into the field. We'll return to the parking lot before wrapping up around 12 PM. You are invited to stick around until 1 PM to continue to explore animal activity in the area.
If you need to reach us the day of the outing, please call Kirsten's cell at 651-785-4650.
