Special April Tracking Event: River Day

Come join us for our a special all day Tracking event at Ft. Snelling State Park: Sunday, April 10 10:00am - 4:00pm We will gather at the Ft. Snelling State Park visitor center:Ft. Snelling State Park 101 Snelling Lake Rd West St Paul, MN 55111Please join us for this special an all-day tracking event. You are welcome to join the group for all or part of the day. We will meet at the visitor center at 10 am for a brief orientation and then head out into the field for track and sign identification from 10 - 12 noon. Bring a packed lunch to enjoy from 12 noon to 1 pm. We will have a few field exercises and activities and more tracking from 1-4 pm. Novice and experienced trackers are equally welcome.This is an all-weather event and we spend time off trail. Please bring appropriate footwear and dress for several hours outdoors in whatever weather we may have that. We go out rain or shine. Notepad and pencil for notes and a pad for sitting in the field may be useful as well. We look forward to seeing you there. Note that you need a State Park pass to drive to the Visitor Center, but you can park for free at the Historic Fort Snelling visitor center. It is about a half-mile walk past the historic fort and down the hill to get to the State Park visitor center. The Historic Fort parking is located at 200 Tower Ave, St Paul, MN 55111
