Come join us for our 12th Anniversary Tracking Club at Fort Snelling State Park!

Thomas C. Savage Visitor Center
Fort Snelling State Trail, St Paul, MN 55111
Trick or Track? As Evaluator Daniel Hansche reminds us, "There are no tricks -- only tracks." However, every seasoned tracker has been tricked by a complex or obscure presentation. Raccoons have fooled us many times, masquerading as coyote, fisher, or bobcat as they flex their nimble toes and roam across the mud flats. Are those small prints hind tracks of a mink... or front tracks of a gray squirrel? Overlapping otter tracks might even register as a raccoon or beaver hind track!
The tricks of the mind can leave questions that haunt us for years thereafter. However, when we track with friends and share our different perspectives, we're less likely to be fooled.
Come join us as we engage with the reality of tracks on the ground, and laugh at the tricks our minds play on us.
We will gather at 9:00 in the parking lot near the Visitor Center. We will head out on the trail after a short introduction, and return to the Visitor Center before wrapping up at 1 PM. If you need to reach us the day of the outing, please call Kirsten's cell at 651-785-4650.
