We're partnering with the Minneapolis Parks & Rec Board for their Fall Animal Tracking BioBlitz!
Sunday, November 23
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Parking lot north of the dog park, Minneapolis, MN 55417
A BioBlitz is a fun community science event that brings together curious minds to observe and document as many different species as possible in one location. Join this collaboration between Minneapolis Parks & Rec and the Minnesota Wildlife Tracking Project to learn animal tracking basics and discover what creatures inhabit Minnehaha Park! We will use the community science data collection app iNaturalist to capture our findings.Â
We will gather at 9:00 in the parking lot north of the dog park. After a short introduction, we will split into smaller groups and head into the field, and then return to the parking lot before wrapping up at 11 AM. You are invited to stick around until 12:30 or 1 PM to continue to document animal activity in the park. If you need to reach us the day of the outing, please call Maria's cell at 612-440-5958.
