Now that the Certification is full, new applicants will be placed on a waitlist.
We select applicants whose participation we believe will advance the Minnesota Wildlife Tracking Project's mission to promote the art and science of wildlife tracking, especially here in Minnesota and the surrounding region. We are particularly interested in offering certification opportunities to people actively involved in wildlife research or education. We give priority to active members of the Minnesota Wildlife Tracking Project as well as to those who have not participated in a CyberTracker certification previously or recently. If you are not familiar with CyberTracker certifications, we encourage you to read this description and this FAQ on the Tracker Certification North America website.
We encourage those who are newer to wildlife tracking or are curious about the certification process to participate in one of our club's Practice Assessments. These two-day long, CyberTracker style, "mock evaluations" offer low-cost, low-pressure opportunities for participants to get a taste of a CyberTracker certification, practice for a future certification, and get feedback on their progress in track and sign interpretation. Our next Practice Assessment is scheduled for August 2-3. Get details here.
