Ft. Snelling State Park
101 Snelling Lake Rd

You can link to this event here on Facebook.
Here is a short outline of the morning:
-Marty and Jon will scout out the are beforehand to find some interesting track & sign
-We will meet up in the fireplace room at the Ft. Snelling Park Visitor Center at 9:00am
-After a short welcome, we will head out on the trail--likely on Pike Island
-We will explore the track & sign Marty and I scouted--together with anything else that catches the groups fancy!
-We will return to the visitor center to wrap up and share our stories from the day.
While we are out on the trail, we will be drawing on Jon Young's 8 Shields model for nature connection and tracking. I have had the pleasure of working with Jon Young off and on since 1997, and absolutely love the models he has created for exploring nature together. So I can't guarantee that the weather will be warm or dry. I can't guarantee that we will find any exotic tracks. But I can guarantee that we will have a whole lot of fun! Hope you can join us.
Note that you need a State Park pass to drive to the Visitor Center, but you can park for free at the Historic Fort Snelling visitor center. It is about a half-mile walk pas the historic fort and down the hill to get to the State Park visitor center. The Historic Fort parking is located at 200 Tower Ave, St Paul, MN 55111
